Would You Eat Your Dog's Food?

Being vegan is not what people make it out to be. Those who are not educated on what veganism is, do not understand how simple and easy it is. Nothing significant changes in your life, other than the fact that you are saving animals and your own health. Being that I value the lives of animals (as well as my own), my dog Lily eats Wild Earth dog food.

It is a healthy dog food that has never reached the market before. You can pronounce all of the ingredients and (if you want), you can eat it as well! Lol. It is contains antioxidant-rich fruits, spinach, pumpkin, sweet potatoes, and plant protein such as, chickpeas, nutritional yeast, etc.

ETHICALLY EXPOSED

I don’t know about you, but I always want the best for my animals, and I certainly do not want them eating something that could, in the long run, pose potential harm to them. After all of my research (and watching of Shark Tank), I found Wild Earth! I wouldn’t want Lily to eat something I wouldn’t put in my body, so that is why Wild Earth is the go-to staple.

What really drives me to this brand in addition to all of the great nutritional benefits, is that animal testing is not done as a regular procedure in a laboratory where the animals are force fed the food being tested – like many other alternative brands. Instead, the products go through in-home testing with volunteer dogs and dog parents, and they are monitored by their vet and vet techs. They have stated, “We never test in lab kennels.” Additionally, all of the ingredients that they use, are “standard ingredients used in pet food and included in the definitions under AAFCO.” Therefore, nothing is posing potential harm to them.

When animals are in an unfamiliar environment, in addition to having food forcefully shoved down their throats (in a lab), the testing results are not only skewed a significant amount, but it is not an accurate representation of what the actual results would be. For instance, when humans are stressed, a number of things happen to the body whether we know it in the moment or not. Having stressors affect the results and is not something that is helpful at all.

Not only are Wild Earth’s tests done voluntarily, but none of the ingredients are harmful to anyone’s health, unless of course they know they are allergic to a certain ingredient. They are not first ever tested ingredients either, because they are all natural.

If you value the life of your animals, then don’t feed them anything you wouldn’t eat. We all are what we eat, and there is no denying that healthy ingredients go a long way and benefit the body tremendously.
