Clear Skin

Do you want clear skin? Ha, yes everyone does! Before I became vegan, I struggled a lot with my skin.

I had really bad Rosacea (still do, not nearly as bad though). I went to so many doctors and they all wanted to prescribe me medication to “fix” my redness and acne. I said no, and kept bouncing from one doctor to the next.

ETHICALLY EXPOSED

I told them I didn’t want to be on medication for the rest of my life and wanted to heal my skin. None of them could tell me what to do other than to use medication. Until… I met Dr. Pappantoniu! She is literally, the best dermatologist I have ever met, and has forever changed my life.

Before I became vegan, she told me to immediately cut out gluten and immediate dairy such as, milk, butter, non-aged cheese, etc. She also said that when your skin is dry, it produces a lot of oil because it’s trying to make up for what it doesn’t have… moisture. So, for years I was exfoliating, and not using a lot of cream because I thought my skin was oily, meanwhile, it was the complete opposite! I had no idea what I was in store for, but within that month of seeing her, my entire skin fixed itself and completely healed.

She suggested:

Instead of eating regular pasta, eat rice/lentil pasta.

Instead of drinking cow’s breast milk, drink almond milk.

Instead of using exfoliants, use Bare Minerals Butter Drench.

Use Rosehip oil for redness.

And so on…

I was changed, and forever grateful to her.

The products I use every single day, I have listed below with the qualities of each.

I promise you, if you are in tune to your skin and acknowledge what is happening, you will realize that what

you eat, shows on your skin, and your body, internally and externally.

InstaNatural Serum – Light and moisturizing, doesn’t clog pores, good for whole body. Use in the morning and night.

Butter Drench – For dry skin, I call this Face Crack, because whenever I don’t use it, my skin gets tight and dry. Less is more, however, I literally drench my skin in this every night.

Rosehip Oil – Light, smooth oil, good for redness, and moisturization. I use this 1-2 times per week depending on what I ate, and if I triggered flare-ups.

I also apply SunBum every day which I just started recently in 2022. I use 50 SPF and it has been keeping my skin calm and smooth.
