Animal Research/Testing

Beagles are known in the medical field to have a calm demeanor, making them perfect subjects to not cause a fuss… This is why they are chosen for animal testing with products such as shampoo, bleach, food, etc.

Hundreds of dogs/animals have been subjected to painful procedures, injections, and horrible circumstances to declare the safety of products for humans. They endure pain, shaking, vomiting, difficulty breathing, fevers, etc.

The Humane Society conducted an undercover investigation in an Indiana laboratory where the animals are given IV infusions, force-fed with stomach tubes, and injections – all of which cause excruciating pain.

ETHICALLY EXPOSED

It leaves them screaming and howling in fear and agony. Imagine being stabbed and not being helped or anyone doing anything about it. Imagine people examining you on how you deal with the pain and the side effects you develop from it.

No one would ever think of that because that’s not how it works for humans. Humans are the ones doing such things to animals. People talk so much about justice and how things are unfair, yet they do not acknowledge the injustice presented to animals every single day in so many different industries.

Consumers who don’t like animal testing, most of the time, don’t even know that the products they buy support such practices. For those that do, some simply don’t care enough to change their buying habits…which is absolutely insane to me. If you really value the lives of others, not just yourself, you wouldn’t use the excuse of “inconvenience or trouble,” or anything defer you from making the positive change to help animals.

Lab animals are bred into existence artificially. They are bred to have issues and defects/inabilities to make research easier, and more justifiable. Yet, there is nothing positive that stems from animal testing.

We have been researching cures for cancer for how many years? And how many things have we discovered about it through animal research? It has been what, over 20 years, and there is still no cure? I am not saying discovery for diseases is simple or easy, however, I do respond to such a circumstance with question and awe, due to the lack of success within the industry.

There are many other alternatives that are far more accurate and cost-effective. There is computer modeling, the use of cadavers, 3D human skin cell printing, human volunteers, etc. People objectify the human volunteer aspect of the advancement, but the keyword there is “volunteer.” Animals do not have a choice like us, they don’t get to make the decision if they want to be tested on. They don’t have a voice. If they scream and howl, no one cares, if they are torn away from their families, no one cares, if they die… No. One. Cares.

This has all been normalized by society so no one thinks anything of it, in the sense of it being wrong.

When did barbaric practices become the usual, and okay? If you showed a child what went on behind the scenes in the animal research/testing world, they would cry.

It’s as simple as that unless they are psychopaths.

I recognize that others may have different views, but there is no way to justify the animal testing world when we have alternatives that have been scientifically proven to be more accurate and cost-effective.

If you didn’t know about animal testing, I hope you learned a little something from this blog, and if you already do, then I hope you enjoyed the reading.

Thank you so much!
