A Wave of Change

After researching like crazy and educating myself on the important essentials one’s body should have. I learned a lot about what we shouldn’t have. From a topical view and consumption standpoint, there are so many things that we put on and in our bodies that are not only unnecessary but harmful. A lot of the regulations will tell you that products with harmful chemicals are okay in small doses, but what if you use it every day? It builds up and can potentially lead to irreversible damage.

ETHICALLY EXPOSED

I have gone through so many products to get my skin to where I have it today, and although I am happy with it, the products I use aren’t all completely natural (They are cruelty-free of course). With my continuous endeavor to find a cream of some sort that is natural and good for the skin, I discovered Tidal Wave Organics.

This company is family-run, started by Amber Cabrera, a mom seeking truth and pure products for her and her son. She was originally a Data Analyst who later transitioned into starting her own company. Her background provides the validity we all seek when it comes to manufacturing a product.

I ordered her Pure Zinc Sunscreen and absolutely love it, simply because I KNOW what I am putting on my skin and the value it holds being vegan and cruelty-free.

After speaking with Amber, she informed me that she always made sure animal testing was never a part of the picture, which made my heart smile. It is so unnecessary to include animals in the consumer market,

especially in the luxurious industries we claim to need.

She discovered the compounds of her products through countless experiments and research and holding all of her findings to the highest standards. Amber was craving that lotion-like consistency, but she came to know that natural ingredients don’t necessarily do this without the help of emulsifiers. I found this super interesting as I did not know that “Emulsifiers aren’t necessarily bad, but they are just not necessary for skin health. Their purpose is to bind oil and water and that makes for a smooth consistency. I just didn’t want to include unnecessary ingredients for the sake of a typical lotion consistency.” So, she developed a balm version that melts in the palm of your hand. I love it because a little goes a long way, and it melts into the skin like butta!

Another amazing thing about TWO is that they use packaging that is completely compostable or easily recyclable/reusable. How amazing can this get, right!?

Finding brands that hold the same values as you is not always easy, but something like Tidal Wave Organics is to me, a universal want and need. How could anyone be against nature and the love for great products?
